FAQ

How Greek yogurt is made?

Milk is first heated up to 180°F, then cooled to the desired fermentation temperature (110-114°F) before yogurt culture is added. The mixture is then left to ferment until the bacteria grows, and produces lactic acid, and gels the milk proteins to produce milky yogurt.

To make it a Greek yogurt,  It require to be strained extensively to remove liquid whey and lactose, leaving behind a thicker creamy textured yogurt. It can take up to four gallons of milk to make one gallon of Greek yogurt.
